3^rd NATO SOF Aviation Conference and JAPCC NATO SOF AVN Air Forum

Introduction

Since 2006 the NATO SHAPE Special Operation Office first and the NATO Special Operations Coordination Centre of Mons Chaired every year the NATO SOF Aviation Conference.

This year the conference is hosted by the JAPCC and will be prepared by a one day  dedicated SOF AVN Air Forum the aim of which is to support the SOF AVN Conference Concept, providing a wider and more informal environment to allow the discussion of issues that may be less relevant to NSCC or too technical for the main Conference to Address.

The purpose of the Conference is to bring together Joint SOF Air and Aviation leaders from across the Alliance to discuss issues of mutual interest relating to SOF Air/Aviation capability and issue, and how to meet NATO’s Evolutionary Capability Requirements for the Special Operations community.

The two linked events will be held on 16^th September (AIR Forum) and 17-18 September 2008 for the Conference.
