Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defence Study

The JAPCC has recently begun a major project for 2010.  The project is titled, Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defence Study (JIAMDS).  The intent of this project is to conduct a strategic level study to investigate and describe the integrated systems in NATO Air and Missile Defence.  Additionally, it will aim to indentify shortfalls and provide recommendations to the Alliance.  Theatre Missile Defence and Air Policing are two of the topics that will be covered in this study.

Joint Integrated Air & Missile Defence is a timely and relevant topic within the alliance and is being discussed at the highest levels of the command structure.  The study will provide a comprehensive examination of current capabilities, policies, and doctrine as well as provide a look at the near to mid-term future.  The study will also present recommendations and identify suggested areas of further study.
