CORE FUNCTIONS

PCD Branch is responsible for the following core functions:

• Leading or coordinating JAPCC participation in the interoperability and standardization process for Partner Nations.


• Leading or coordinating JAPCC support to NATO/EU relationships.


• Identification of conflicts in NATO policy, doctrine and concepts, informs the sponsoring authorities for the conflicting documents and provides proposed amendments to ensure harmonisation with the current NATO position.


• Representation of JPACC at the appropriate level at external committees, working groups and meetings.


• Preparation and presentation of JAPCC briefings and presentations.


• Maintaining working relationships with relevant staff in ACT, ACO and at the European level.


• Chairing JAPCC Project Working Groups as directed.
• Chairing the Air Operations Working Group (NSA).


• Preparing the JAPCC Work Plan in close cooperation with Director of Staff (DOS), who is ultimately responsible for the Programme of Work (POW) of the JAPCC.

• Study paper on Logistics for NATO's Expeditionary Air Power
• Study paper on Attack Helicopter Operations - evolution and future.
• Contribution to the DRR11 process by providing SME support to Aerospace and Joint Work Packages.
